As we go along I will post material in folders below this ftp site. You should bookmark it for easy access.
Before the meeting
Do your homework!
Have a laptop with a working copy of the special version of Cloudy we will use during the workshop, and PDF copies of the documentation. The file 16Weihai.tar.gz is posted on the class ftp site. Instructions for setting up Cloudy are here, and a video showing how to do it is here.
You should be able to compute Cloudy models and make plots of the output during the workshop. A homework problem doing is posted on the homework page.
Each day will concentrate on a chapter of Osterbrock & Ferland, Astrophysics of Gaseous Nebulae and Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN3). Please review that chapter before the class. This is the third version of the book. Any of the previous versions of Osterbrock will be OK.

Each day will concentrate on a chapter of AGN3. Please review that chapter before the class.
Day 0 Sunday June 19
Registration: 10:00 to 18:00 in the hotel mall of Shandong University Academic Center (Location: N.130(N)Huanhai Road, Weihai City /威海市北环海路130号).
A no-host opening reception will be held in the first-floor dining room of the hotel on Sunday at 7PM. RMB 60 per person will be charged. This is a chance to meet and get to know one another.
