Agenda Belfast 2014

The list of meeting participants is posted here and a PDF is here.

A social agenda, compiled by QUB participants, is here. There is a signup sheet for the dinner Thursday evening, taxis Friday, and the trip to Giant's Causeway at the bottom of this page. They need to make reservations so please sign up by Tuesday night.

Meeting room & no-host reception The workshop will be held at the Queen's University Belfast, Computer Suite (Room F024), Second Floor, Main Physics Building, School of Mathematics and Physics. There will be an opening reception 7PM Sunday at the Botanic Inn. More details are on the transportation and lodging page.

Before the meeting

BYOD: You must bring a laptop that can compute Cloudy models and connect to the QUB wifi network to participate. A quality recent laptop should have enough power to do the simulations. You could also use ssh/sftp to connect to your home computers and do calculations there. You should be familiar enough with your computer's terminal application to run scripts and also be able to make plots of results.

A warning to Mac OS X users: The current LLVM compiler that Apple provides cannot be used to build Cloudy. See this page for more information and a workaround.

Internet Access to the Internet will be available via wifi to a local router.

As we go along I will post material in folders below this ftp site. You should bookmark it for easy access.

Do your homework!
